Status Report 7-6-24: Lake Granby's trophy class Lake Trout fishing continues to become more endangered every day. Due to the dramatically increased fishing pressure, newly enhanced electronics, social media glamour and uneducated/inexperienced anglers, the big fish population continues to be crushed. I have good view of a portion of the lake and have witnessed incidents that support my statements. These factors, coupled with the fact that the Colorado Parks & Wildlife's administration refuses to provide protection for the big fish on Lake Granby, creates a certain demise of their existence. The changes are happening fast and it's sad to see this great fishery being brutalized.
